Since 2008, many people have chosen Waterlost Surfschool to have their first surf lessons in Peniche or their first surf experience in Portugal.
Over the years, we introduced more than 6,500 surfers from over 50 nationalities to the ocean, building a teaching method focused not only on technique, but also on ocean awareness, confidence and true surf culture.

Surf Atelier was created to deliver a more personal, technical and authentic surf experience in Peniche.
Focused on progression, ocean knowledge and individualized coaching, the project combines high-performance surf training with true surf culture and lifestyle.
With experienced coaches, small groups and a personalized approach, Surf Atelier offers a more specialized surf experience for all levels — from first-time surfers to advanced riders looking to improve their performance in the water.
About Kike Lenzano
Led by Kike, one of Portugal’s most respected high-performance surf coaches, Surf Atelier combines technical progression, personalized coaching and deep ocean knowledge for surfers of all levels.
Kike studied Surf Science and Technology at the Cornwall College, completed Surf Coaching certifications with the Federação Portuguesa de Surf, and later finished a postgraduate degree in Sports Training with specialization in Surfing at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana.
Since then, he has coached surfers from their very first contact with the ocean all the way to professional competition level.
Throughout his career, he has worked with athletes such as Teresa Bonvalot, Nic Von Rupp, Tomás Fernandes, Timothee Bisso & many other high-performance surfers, helping develop technique, competitive mindset and deep ocean understanding.
